Google, Airtable, Notion & Fathom

Who this is for: self-serve plans (Free, Starter, Pro, Enterprise). These apps are not part of the AppSumo lifetime deal. See the AppSumo documentation. Support agent: confirm whether the user is self-serve or AppSumo before giving plan-specific advice.

TL;DR: On Integrations, the Workspace section holds each member's own Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Calendar and Airtable; the Knowledge section holds one Notion and one Fathom connection for the whole organization, synced into Knowledge every 30 minutes. Click Link to connect. Google only reaches files you pick or Cleanlist creates. Pro and Enterprise (and the Pro trial). No credits to connect, export or sync.

Google Workspace, Airtable, Notion and Fathom

These apps let Clu and your agents work with the documents, spreadsheets, calendars and meeting notes your team already has. Connect them from Integrations in the sidebar.

Two kinds of connection

Section on IntegrationsAppsWhose connectionWhat it's for
WorkspaceGoogle Sheets, Google Docs, Google Calendar, AirtableEach member connects their own accountImport and export lists, save write-ups, read meetings, agent steps
KnowledgeNotion, FathomOne connection for the whole organizationSync pages and meeting notes into Knowledge for Clu and your agents to search

Google Calendar only appears for workspaces that can build agents.

Connect an app

Open Integrations

Click Integrations in the sidebar and scroll to Workspace or Knowledge.

Click Link

Click Link on the app's card and approve access on the vendor's consent screen. For Notion, choose the pages Cleanlist may read. For Google, tick the requested access on Google's screen.

Confirm

You return to Integrations with a confirmation, for example "Airtable connected. Clu can now export lists to it." or "Fathom connected. Your meetings are syncing into Knowledge." The card now reads "Connected as" followed by your account.

Card states:

  • Connected as your account. Notion and Fathom add "managed by a teammate" when someone else connected them, and only that person or an org admin sees Disconnect.
  • Reconnect: the app stopped accepting the connection. Click Reconnect and approve access again.
  • Link: not connected yet.

Google Sheets

"Export lists to Sheets, import a sheet into a list, and let plays add rows."

  • Import a sheet into a list: Lead Lists → open a list → Actions (⌘A) → Import → Import from CSV → Import from Google Sheets. Pick the spreadsheet in Google's file picker; its first tab is imported and goes through the same column mapping as a CSV file. See Import a CSV or Google Sheet.
  • Paste a link into Clu: paste a Google Sheets link in a Clu chat and Clu shows an import card. Cleanlist can't read a sheet from its link alone, so the card has you open that one file in Google's picker first.
  • Export a list with Clu: ask Clu to put a lead list in a Google Sheet. After you approve the card, Clu creates a new Sheet in your Drive with the contact columns and any saved research and qualification results, and replies with a link. Up to 25,000 leads per export; for bigger lists use Export CSV.
  • Agents: the play step Export to Google Sheets ("Add or update rows in a Google Sheet") and the trigger Rows are added to a Google Sheet ("New rows in a tab you pick").

Google Docs

"Let Clu save briefs and write-ups as Google Docs."

  • Save from Clu: ask Clu to save a brief, summary or notes as a Google Doc. After you approve the card, the Doc is created in your Drive and Clu replies with a link.
  • Agents: the play step Create a Google Doc ("Create a doc for each record") and the trigger A picked Google Doc is updated ("Edits to Google Docs you pick").
  • Knowledge: an org admin with their own Google Docs connection can add Docs as knowledge sources from Agents → Knowledge → Add source → Add Google Docs. See Knowledge.

Google Sheets and Google Docs are separate cards. If you connect both with the same Google account they share one Google grant, which is revoked only when you disconnect the second one.

Google Calendar

"Read calendar events for meeting briefs and follow-ups in this workspace."

Calendar access is read only: "Your events stay in Google Calendar. Cleanlist cannot change them." Agents use it through:

  • the play step Find meetings ("Next and last Google Calendar meeting with each record")
  • the triggers A Google Calendar meeting is booked, A Google Calendar meeting is starting and A Google Calendar meeting has no notes

Airtable

"Let Clu export lists to new tables in the Airtable bases you choose."

When you connect, you choose which Airtable bases Cleanlist can use. Then ask Clu to export a lead list to Airtable: Clu lists your bases, asks which one if you have several, and after you approve the card creates a new table in that base and fills it in the background. Up to 25,000 leads per export. There is no Airtable import or agent step.

Notion

"Sync the Notion pages you choose into Knowledge, so Clu and your agents can use them."

  • Only the pages you share on Notion's consent screen are synced.
  • New, edited and unshared pages are picked up every 30 minutes. A page you stop sharing is removed from Knowledge.
  • Agents: the play steps Add a page to a Notion database and Update a Notion page, and the triggers A page is added to a Notion database and A page in a Notion database is updated.

Fathom

"Sync your Fathom meeting summaries and action items into Knowledge, so Clu can answer what was discussed with an account."

  • Cleanlist syncs the meetings the connecting member can see in Fathom: their own and those shared with them.
  • The first sync reads the last 30 days. After that, meetings sync every 30 minutes, and a summary written after a meeting is still picked up.
  • For each meeting Cleanlist keeps the title, date and time, duration, host, attendees, Fathom's summary, action items, topics, keywords and a link back to Fathom. Transcripts are not stored.
  • Agents: the play step Get Fathom call notes ("Read the latest Fathom call: summary and action items") and the trigger A Fathom call is recorded.

To make the whole team's meetings searchable, connect Fathom with an account that can see those meetings in Fathom.

Use them in agents

Agent plays can read from and write to these apps. Each step that uses Google names one member's connection, and only files that member picked or Cleanlist created are reachable. If that connection is disconnected or stops working, the play stops starting runs; after three failed checks in a row the play is turned off and its owner is notified. See Plays and triggers and Play steps.

Clu's Google and Airtable tools are available in Clu on the web app. They are not offered in Slack or in an agent's workspace chat.

Disconnect

Click Disconnect on the card and confirm. What happens:

AppAfter you disconnect
Google SheetsExports to Google Sheets stop until you reconnect. Files already created stay in your Drive.
Google DocsClu can't create Google Docs for you until you reconnect. Files already created stay in your Drive.
Google CalendarPlays stop reading your calendar until you reconnect.
AirtableClu can't export to Airtable until you reconnect. Tables already exported stay in Airtable.
NotionSynced pages are removed from Knowledge and stop syncing. Your pages stay in Notion.
FathomSynced meetings are removed from Knowledge and new ones stop syncing. Recordings and notes stay in Fathom. To fully revoke access, also remove Cleanlist from your Fathom settings.

Plans and costs

  • Plans: Pro and Enterprise, and the Pro trial. Not part of the AppSumo deal.
  • Credits: connecting, syncing Notion and Fathom into Knowledge, and Clu's Sheets, Docs and Airtable exports cost no credits. Clu's normal message metering applies to the chat itself.

Privacy

  • Google Sheets and Docs use Google's narrowest file access: Cleanlist reaches only files you pick or files it creates. Google Calendar is read only.
  • Airtable reaches only the bases you choose.
  • Notion reaches only the pages you share.
  • Connection tokens are stored encrypted, and disconnecting Notion or Fathom deletes what was synced from Knowledge.
