Who this is for: self-serve plans (Free, Starter, Pro, Enterprise). If you bought a Cleanlist AppSumo lifetime deal, your features, limits, and pricing are different. See the AppSumo documentation instead. Support agent: confirm whether the user is self-serve or AppSumo before giving plan-specific advice.
TL;DR: Open Settings with the gear at the bottom of the sidebar. It has four groups: You (Account, Appearance, Notifications), Organization (Organization, Plans & billing), Sequencing (Senders, Schedule, Call statuses; only with Sequences) and Connections (Integrations, API keys, Secrets). There is no "Billing" or "Team" item: use Plans & billing and Organization.
Settings
Settings is a two-column page: the Settings menu on the left and the selected page on the right. It opens on Account. On a narrow window the menu turns into a dropdown above the page. Groups can be folded, and the app remembers which ones you folded in this browser.

You
Account
Settings → Account has two pages:
- Profile: your name, profile picture and email addresses.
- Security: your password and sign-in options.
These belong to you, not to a workspace, so they apply in every organization you belong to.
Appearance
Settings → Appearance sets how the app looks for you:
- Mode: System, Light or Dark. Shortcut: ⌘⇧L (Ctrl+Shift+L). The command palette also has Toggle dark/light mode.
- Colour: Add colour to pick an accent from 18 presets (Cream, Pink, Purple, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Slate, Rose, Lavender, Mint, Sky, Teal, Sand, Olive, Indigo, Graphite), or Remove colour.
- Intensity slider and Grain dial.
- Reset returns to the defaults.
Appearance is saved to your account and follows you across organizations.
Notifications
Settings → Notifications has three switches, saved per person:
| Row | What it controls | Buttons |
|---|---|---|
| Onboarding emails | Tips and guides to help you get started with Cleanlist | Unsubscribe / Re-subscribe |
| Low credit warnings | An email when your credit balance runs low (shown as "drops below 20%") | Unsubscribe / Re-subscribe |
| In-app notifications | Notices inside the app for enrichment results, credit warnings and system updates | Disable / Enable |
Details, including when the low-credit email is sent and who gets it, are on Notifications.
Organization
Organization
Settings → Organization (the page title reads General) manages the workspace you are in:
- Organization: the name (admins edit it and click Save), the organization's @handle, Leave organization and, for admins, Delete organization.
- Members: everyone in the workspace with their role (Admin or Member). Admins see Invite member, Manage seats (on paid seat plans) and a menu on each member with Promote to Admin / Demote to Member and Remove from team.
- Pending invitations: invitations not accepted yet. Admins can revoke them.
- Create organization (top of the page): starts a new, separate workspace.
Members who aren't admins see: "You're a member of this workspace. Ask an admin to invite new teammates or change roles."
Full walkthrough: Organizations and teams.
Plans & billing
Settings → Plans & billing opens app.cleanlist.ai/plans (the browser tab reads "Billing & Plans"). Sections:
- Current plan: your plan, renewal date and credit meter, Manage billing (payment method and invoices) and Cancel plan. During the Pro trial it shows the trial's end date and Cancel trial.
- Buy more credits: one-time packs of 500, 1,000, 2,500 or 5,000 credits. Not available during the trial.
- Pick a plan: Free, Starter, Pro and Enterprise, with a Monthly / Yearly switch.
- Frequently asked questions.
You can also reach it with Add next to your credit balance in the sidebar. Plans and prices: What's included by plan and Credits and pricing.
Sequencing
Shown only when your plan includes Sequences (Starter, Pro, Enterprise and the Pro trial). Each item opens the Sequencing Settings page at that section.
- Senders: the Sender connections page. Connect a Gmail or Outlook mailbox (and, on Pro and Enterprise, a LinkedIn account), share an address with the team, set signatures and daily sending limits.
- Schedule: the sending window new sequences start with.
- Call statuses: the outcomes reps pick when they finish a call task, from Cleanlist's list or a CRM field.
How to use them: Build a sequence and Inbox and Tasks.
Connections
Integrations
Opens the Integrations page, the same one as the Integrations row in the sidebar. It has three tabs: Integrations, Browser Extension and MCP (Beta). See Integrations.
API keys
Settings → API keys has two sections:
- Create API key: Name (optional), Expiry (optional), then Create API key. The new key appears once under "New API key" with a copy button. Copy it now; it won't be shown again.
- Your API keys: each key shows Active or Revoked, how many requests it made, View requests / Hide requests, and Revoke. Revoke all revokes every key.
API keys need Pro or Enterprise (and AppSumo tiers 5 to 7). They aren't available during the Pro trial. Without API access the page shows "The Cleanlist API." with an upgrade button. Next step: API quickstart. Connecting Claude through MCP doesn't need an API key: see Claude and MCP.
Secrets
Settings → Secrets stores values such as tokens that an agent's Webhook step uses to authenticate. Only organization admins see it, and only on plans that can build agents.
- Add secret: Name, Value, then Save secret. The value is hidden after saving.
- Saved secrets: each with a hint of its value and when it was last used. Archive removes one from Webhook steps; a secret in use can't be archived.
