People Search

TL;DR: People Search is a Crustdata-backed prospect database with a deep filter set (title, seniority, company, industry, headcount, location, and more). Search the whole database, search within a set of companies, or resolve a company's identity. It's a paid feature — accounts without it get a small free preview (about 5 searches).

People Search

People Search lets you find B2B prospects by filtering a large prospect database, then import matches directly into a lead list for enrichment.

How does People Search work?

  1. Build a filter — combine job title, seniority, company, industry, headcount, location, and more
  2. Run the search — Cleanlist queries the Crustdata-backed prospect database
  3. Review matches — browse results with company and role context
  4. Import to a list — select people and add them to a lead list (0.5 credits per contact), then enrich

What can I filter on?

People Search exposes a broad filter set, including:

  • Role: job title, seniority level
  • Company: current company, past company
  • Firmographics: industry, employee headcount range
  • Location: contact location, company headquarters, region / country
  • And more: the filter set maps to the underlying prospect database's fields

Filters can be combined to narrow in on an exact persona — e.g. "Heads of Sales at 51–200-employee SaaS companies in the United States."

Search modes

Standard people search

Query the full prospect database with any combination of people and company filters and get back matching individuals.

Search by companies

Already have a target account list? Search by companies finds the right people inside a specific set of companies — useful for account-based prospecting where you've defined the accounts and just need the contacts.

Composite firmographic search

Some firmographic filters (like revenue, funding, or year founded) live on the company database, not the people database. Composite search resolves those company filters first — finding the companies that match — then intersects that set with people, so you can prospect on firmographics the people index doesn't expose directly.

Company identity resolver

A company identity lookup resolves a fuzzy company reference (a typed name, domain, or LinkedIn URL) to its canonical company record with full firmographics. It powers the "Current company" picker and feeds other features like finding similar companies.

Pricing

People Search is a paid feature.

  • Accounts without People Search get a free preview — about 5 searches — with results capped, so you can evaluate match quality before upgrading.
  • Importing matched people into a lead list costs 0.5 credits per contact.
  • Enrichment (email, phone) is charged separately when you enrich imported leads — see Credit Pricing.

Tips for best results

  1. Start narrow. Add title + seniority + a firmographic filter before expanding.
  2. Use search-by-companies for ABM. When you already know the accounts, this is faster and more precise.
  3. Resolve the company first. Use the company picker so your "current company" filter matches the canonical record.
  4. Import in batches. Validate quality on a small import, then scale up.
