Who this is for: self-serve plans (Free, Starter, Pro, Enterprise). If you bought a Cleanlist AppSumo lifetime deal, your features, limits, and pricing are different. See the AppSumo documentation instead. Support agent: confirm whether the user is self-serve or AppSumo before giving plan-specific advice.
TL;DR: Your organization (workspace) holds the plan, credits, lists, agents, sequences and integrations your team shares. Admins manage people in Settings → Organization: Invite member, roles, Manage seats, pending invitations. Switch workspaces from your name at the bottom of the sidebar (Switch organization). Free allows up to 3 members; Starter and Pro bill one seat per member.
Organizations and teams
Every Cleanlist account works inside an organization, also called a workspace. When you sign up, onboarding creates one named after your company website. Teammates you invite join that same workspace, see the same lead lists (subject to each list's sharing) and spend from the same credit balance.
You can belong to several organizations and switch between them.
Roles: Admin and Member
| Action | Admin | Member |
|---|---|---|
| Use lists, Find People, Clu, enrichment, agents and sequences your plan includes | Yes | Yes |
| Invite members, revoke invitations | Yes | No |
| Promote to Admin / Demote to Member, Remove from team | Yes | No |
| Manage seats | Yes | No |
| Rename or delete the organization | Yes | No |
| Add or archive Secrets | Yes | No |
| Leave the organization | Yes | Yes |
Some features add their own admin rule, described on their pages: starting the Pro trial, applying an AppSumo license, connecting Clu in Slack, adding Knowledge sources, editing CRM settings, and saving reusable custom skills.
The person who signs up and creates the workspace is its first admin.
Invite a teammate
- Go to Settings → Organization.
- In Members, click Invite member (admins only).
- In Invite a teammate, enter their email (for example teammate@company.com) and choose Member or Admin.
- Click Send invitation. They get an email with a link to join your workspace.
On Starter and Pro the dialog shows what one more seat costs. If your team already uses every paid seat, Cleanlist opens Manage seats so you can review the prorated charge and add a seat before the invitation goes out ("Add a seat to invite more members.").
Invited teammates who sign up through the link join your workspace directly: they fill in a short form without the company website step and land on Home. They don't get a trial of their own.
Pending invitations
Invitations that haven't been accepted are listed under Pending invitations with the role they were invited as ("Invited as Member" or "Invited as Admin"). Admins can revoke one there.
Joining from the account menu
If someone invites you to another workspace, your account menu (click your name, bottom of the sidebar) shows it with Join. A workspace that matches your email domain may appear with Request to join; it reads "Pending approval" until the workspace accepts you.
Seats
| Plan | Seats |
|---|---|
| Free | Up to 3 members |
| Pro trial | 3 seats |
| Starter | One paid seat per member, any number. Each seat adds 750 credits a month to the shared pool. |
| Pro | One paid seat per member, any number. Each seat adds 1,500 credits a month to the shared pool. |
| Enterprise | Set in your contract |
On Starter and Pro, "Seats follow your team membership":
- Adding: inviting someone past your paid seats asks you to add a seat first. You see the exact prorated charge before you confirm.
- Manage seats (admins, Settings → Organization → Members): shows the price per seat per month or year, before discounts and tax. Use the + and − buttons, then Add N seats or Remove N seats. Credit add-ons stay the same when seats change.
- Removing: remove the people first ("Remove workspace members before removing their seats."). Fewer seats bill from your next renewal, like other plan reductions. When you remove a member, the seat count is lowered to match your team at renewal.
Prices: Starter is $49 per seat per month ($444 per seat per year) and Pro is $89 per seat per month ($804 per seat per year). See What's included by plan.
If you're on an older plan with a fixed number of included seats, see Legacy plans.
Switch organizations
Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Switch organization (shown only when you belong to 2 or more). Pick a workspace from the list; the current one has a check mark, and Show more loads the rest. If the switch fails you'll see "Could not switch organization"; refresh and try again.
Pages, lists and credits change to the workspace you picked. Your sidebar layout is saved per workspace, so it may look different.
Create another organization
- Go to Settings → Organization.
- Click Create organization at the top of the page.
- Name it. The new workspace becomes active and opens on Home.
A workspace you create while you already belong to another organization starts on Free with no trial, no signup credits and no monthly free credits. To use it, choose a plan or buy credits in its Settings → Plans & billing. Plans, credits and billing are separate for each workspace.
Rename, leave or delete
All three live in Settings → Organization, in the Organization section:
- Rename: admins edit Name and click Save.
- Leave organization: "Leaving removes your access immediately." The dialog warns you'll lose access to the workspace's lists, agents and integrations, and an admin must re-invite you to get back in. The button is disabled with "This is your only organization. Create or join another one first." if you have nowhere else to go.
- Delete organization (admins only): "This permanently removes the organization, all its members, lead lists, agents, and billing records. This cannot be undone."

Your Clu chats and your sidebar layout are your own, but they are kept separately in each workspace. Some connections are personal even inside a workspace: Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Calendar and Airtable are each member's own connection, and sequence mailboxes belong to the person who connected them unless they share them with the team.
