Who this is for: self-serve plans (Free, Starter, Pro, Scale). If you bought a Cleanlist AppSumo lifetime deal, your features, limits, and pricing are different — see the AppSumo documentation instead. Support agent: confirm whether the user is self-serve or AppSumo before giving plan-specific advice.

TL;DR: Cleanlist plans (Free, Starter, Pro, Scale) bundle credits + seats. Credits are additive and roll over — no monthly reset. You spend credits on actions: email is 1 credit, phone is 10, full is up to 11, reverse email lookup is 2 (billed even on a miss), personal email is 1.5 per fresh lookup and free from cache, company enrichment is 1 per company, and importing leads into a list is free. Failed enrichments cost 0 credits. See cleanlist.ai/pricing (opens in a new tab) for current plan pricing.

Credit Pricing

Cleanlist uses a credit-based model. You subscribe to a plan that includes a monthly (or annual) pool of credits and a number of seats, then spend credits on the actions you run. Most credit-costing actions are pay-per-result — you're only charged when Cleanlist actually returns data.

Plans

Every paid plan offers multiple credit allowance options so you can size the plan to your volume. Each plan also includes a base number of seats; you can add more with the extra-seat add-on.

For the full per-feature breakdown across self-serve and AppSumo tiers, see What's Included by Plan.

Both monthly and annual billing are available; annual billing includes a discount. For current per-plan dollar prices, see cleanlist.ai/pricing (opens in a new tab).

The Free plan includes 1 seat and ~30 credits per month at no cost — enough to test enrichment before upgrading. The Free plan is limited to CSV upload, 100 leads per list, and 5 People Search preview searches. Validation columns and agents start at Starter.

Extra seats

Need more people on the account than your plan includes? Add seats with the per-seat add-on without moving up a plan tier. See cleanlist.ai/pricing (opens in a new tab) for current per-seat pricing.

One-off credit top-ups

If you run out of credits before your next renewal, you can buy a one-off credit top-up:

  • Price: $0.10 per credit
  • Minimum purchase: 100 credits
  • Maximum per purchase: 50,000 credits
  • Requirement: active paid plan (Free tier cannot purchase top-ups)

Top-up credits are added to your balance immediately and don't change your plan or reset your billing cycle.

Credits roll over

Self-serve (Stripe) credits are additive and roll over — there is no monthly reset. Any unused credits from one month carry forward to the next and accumulate over time.

Changing plans

When you upgrade mid-cycle, the change is prorated — you're charged the difference for the remainder of the current billing period and get immediate access to the higher tier. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

Legacy pricing

Accounts created on Cleanlist's earlier 10-tier pricing keep their original plan — those subscriptions are grandfathered and continue to work as before. New accounts are placed on the current Free / Starter / Pro / Scale structure.

How much do actions cost?

The credit pool is consumed by individual actions. These per-action costs dominate day-to-day usage:

ActionCreditsNotes
Import a lead (add to list)FreeAdding contacts to a list costs nothing — you pay only on enrichment
Email enrichment1 / leadPay-for-results (0 on miss)
Phone enrichment10 / leadPay-for-results (0 on miss)
Full enrichment (email + phone)up to 11 / lead1 + 10; each charged only if found
Reverse email lookup2 / emailFlat bundle (lookup + enrichment). Charged even when the email does not resolve
Personal email find1.5 / fresh lookupCache hits are free
Company enrichment — Actions drawer1 / companyThe Enrich Company action on the Companies sheet
Company enrichment — public API1 / callVia the single-record enrich_company API endpoint; the bulk add_company_enrichments endpoint is ~1 credit per 10 companies (ceil)
CRM import0.2 / contactPer contact imported from a connected CRM
Sync to CRM or sequencer, via the public API0.2 / leadPer lead pushed to HubSpot, Salesforce, or Lemlist through the public API
Prospecting-only (find LinkedIn profile)0.5 / hit
Research agent3–53 for company-only or contact-only; 5 for both
Qualification agent5Charged even when an exclusion rule disqualifies the lead before the model runs
Custom agent3 · 53 when the resolved prompt is ≤500 tokens, 5 above that

CRM and sequencer integrations: Cleanlist offers two-way integrations with HubSpot and Salesforce, plus push-only sync to the Lemlist sequencer. Cleanlist does not integrate with Pipedrive or Microsoft Dynamics.

Per-row column costs

The list actions you add as columns carry their own per-row credit costs:

ColumnCredits / row
Email Validation0.5
Phone Validation0.5
Enrich Company1 / company
Lookup in CRM0.5
Research agent3–5 (by scope)
Qualification agent5
Custom agent3 (prompt ≤500 tokens) · 5 (>500)

Plan gating: Email Validation, Phone Validation, and all three agents require Starter or above and are included on every AppSumo tier. Lookup in CRM requires Pro or above, or AppSumo Tier 5+. Enrich Company has no plan gate.

See List actions for the full detail on each one, and Agents for the three agents.

Pay only for success

Cleanlist's waterfall enrichment queries multiple providers in sequence, but you're charged once per successful result regardless of how many providers were tried. If the waterfall can't find the data, the action costs 0 credits.

One exception: reverse email lookup. It is sold as a flat 2-credit bundle per email and is charged whether or not the email resolves. Every other enrichment action is free on a miss.

Note on personal email: personal-email finding uses its own cache and provider cascade. A fresh lookup that returns a result costs 1.5 credits. A result served from cache costs nothing, and a total provider outage isn't charged.

How the credit system works

  1. Subscribe to a plan — pick a plan and credit allowance that matches your volume
  2. Spend credits on actions — enrichment, per-row columns, and agents (search and list imports are free)
  3. Pay for results — successful enrichments deduct credits; failures don't
  4. Credits roll over — unused credits accumulate; there is no monthly reset
  5. Top up or upgrade — buy one-off credits (paid plans only) or move to a larger plan as you grow

Credit usage examples

Example 1: Email-only enrichment

Enrich 100 leads with email only:

  • Cost: 100 credits (1 credit × 100 emails found)

Example 2: Full enrichment from a list

Enrich 100 leads with email + phone:

  • Cost: up to 1,100 credits (up to 11 credits × 100 leads, charged only for data found)

Example 3: Search → import → enrich

Find 100 prospects, import them, then enrich email + phone:

  • Search: free
  • Import: free
  • Email: 100 credits (1 × 100)
  • Phone: 1,000 credits (10 × 100)
  • Total: 1,100 credits

Example 4: Reverse email lookup

Look up 10 emails to identify the people behind them:

  • Cost: 20 credits (2 credits × 10 emails, charged whether or not each one resolves)

Monitoring credit usage

  • View your current credit balance in the dashboard header
  • Get notified when your balance drops below 20% of a 500-credit baseline (~100 credits) by default; the threshold is configurable
  • Add a one-off top-up at any time (paid plans only)
  • Failed enrichments never deduct credits
