TL;DR: Your AppSumo plan has two kinds of credits. Monthly credits arrive when you activate and every 30 days after; they are use-it-or-lose-it. One-time credits unlock 60 days after activation and then never expire. Need more? Credits & Refills
Cleanlist runs on credits. On the AppSumo deal you get credits two ways: a monthly refill and a one-time bucket.
The hybrid credit model
Monthly credit refill (use-it-or-lose-it)
Your first month's credits are added when you activate, and your account is then refilled automatically every 30 days from your activation date:

Monthly credits are use-it-or-lose-it. Any monthly credits you have not spent before the next 30-day refill are forfeited. Only one-time credits, review-reward credits and add-on credits carry forward.
One-time credits (unlock after 60 days, never expire)
Your tier's one-time credit bucket is held for 60 days after activation, the length of AppSumo's refund window, and then added to your balance automatically:

Until they unlock, Settings → Plans & billing shows them under Current plan as "Lifetime · N one-time (unlocks date) + M/mo". Once unlocked, one-time credits never expire.
- Upgrading your tier adds the extra monthly credits right away. The extra one-time credits are held for 60 days from the upgrade, and any one-time credits still waiting to unlock move to that same new date.
- Refunds and downgrades take credits from the held one-time bucket first, then from your balance.
What credits are spent on
All credits live in one balance shared by your whole workspace. Different actions cost different amounts:

Plan around the per-action cost, not a flat "contacts" number. Finding an email is 1 credit, but a full contact (email + phone) is 11 credits. A 2,000-credit balance is about 2,000 email finds or about 180 full contacts.
Failed email and phone finds cost 0 credits. Find Personal Email and Reverse Email Lookup are the exceptions: they are charged per attempt. Find Personal Email is free when the result comes from the lead's stored data or when every provider is unavailable.
How to get more credits
Review reward: 1,000 free credits
AppSumo customers can earn a one-time bonus of 1,000 credits for reviewing Cleanlist on AppSumo:
- Leave your review on the Cleanlist deal page on AppSumo.
- In the app, click Leave a review on the "Get 1,000 free credits" banner at the top of the page.
- Paste your AppSumo review URL and click Submit for review.
- The Cleanlist team checks the review and adds 1,000 credits to your balance.
The reward is one per workspace and is added after approval, so it is not instant. Review-reward credits never expire.
One-Time Credits add-on
If you run low before your next refill, buy the One-Time Credits add-on on AppSumo:
- Where: on AppSumo, on the Cleanlist deal page (under add-ons).
- Price: starts at $39 for 500 credits, up to a maximum of 10,000 credits.
- When: credits are added as soon as AppSumo tells us about the purchase (an add-on bought together with your deal is added when you activate). They are not held for 60 days.
- Expiry: add-on credits never expire.
- Refunds: the add-on is non-refundable.
The Buy more credits packs and subscriptions on the Cleanlist Plans page are for regular (non-AppSumo) accounts and are not available on AppSumo-only workspaces. The AppSumo One-Time Credits add-on is the top-up path for AppSumo customers.
Refunds and your credits
If you refund or downgrade your AppSumo purchase, the credits that purchase granted are removed: first from one-time credits that haven't unlocked yet, then from your balance (down to zero; your balance never goes negative). See the AppSumo FAQ.
